2. What are the properties of glass and plastic that make them interchangeable for
some uses? How are these materials different?

They are both transparent and water proof, which makes them good for storing liquids, and seeing how much is in the container.
But glass is much heavier and more brittle than plastic, which are both disadvantages for this use.
