I have never heard that term. I was a navy brat for 16 years and had many Filipino neighbors and friends, not once did I hear that term though

I have never heard that term for a Filipino. Flip but not coconut. Now I know alot of Mexican coconuts.

in fact this is the first time I've seen some call someone a coconut.

my money is that this came from some kind of racist views of someshort

I've never heard that term before and I have friends who are Filipino as well as I work with physicians that are Filipino.

A lot of people that are brown and Americanized might be called a cocnut because they are brown on the outside and white on the inside.
