We have a question. If a skunk sprays. How long does it take for his stinkiness to "refill" so that he can spray again? We didn't know if they have control over alot or a little spray. Or if they can max out and have to wait a while before they could spray again. In case you are wondering, yes, we have been watching 'Over the Hedge'! lol

It takes a while to "refill" as you put it, since it is a fluid that is created in a small gland under the tail of a skunk. It also depends on the size of the skunk. A two-month old skunk doesn't spray much, but sprays more often. As far as how MUCH is sprayed, I'm not positive, but I believe it is controlled to an extent. Our baby skunks would sometimes spray each other when they play-fought, which probably wasn't too controlled, but as they got older, they learned not to. I can't say for sure about adults, since we had ours de-scented. Hope that helps.

Skunks are reluctant to use their smelly weapon, as they carry just enough of the chemical for five to six uses—about 15 cc—and require some ten days to produce another supply.

I liked the movie, but wished we got to see them eat
more of the food.
I think they can spray some, and not all.
