Never. It should never be an issue for anyone to "give up" their own beliefs in a healthy realtionship, no matter what. The only issue should be being able to respect another persons beliefs not take them on as their own.

Ditto. You should only give up beliefs and values if you have honestly accepted another set of beliefs and values, and not because someone has coerced or forced you to do so. If you honestly believe something, and your loved ones really love you, then they should accept you for who you are and what you believe.

Why would you have to give up your own personal beliefs, to be with your loved ones?

Never. If they really love you, then they can accept you for who you are. If you start changing to please someone else, you only end up being unhappy and lost.
