No, she still needs to be in a crib. Wait a few more months to switch over.

Not all kids are the same. My daughter was about 12 months and walking. We put her in a toddler bed with 1/2 rails and she loved it. She still takes naps. Nothing has changed except that when she wakes up you get to see her walking down the hallway rubbing her eyes looking for you. It's a great surprise to see her. Give it a try. If it doesn't work out try it again in a few months.

I put my son in a toddler bed at 16 months old because I had 4 month old twins and we needed to put them in separate cribs. It worked out fine for us. At first we ahd to put a little extra effort at bed and nap time because he could get up on his own, but eventually he learned. Now that hes 28 months we are finding that he's having difficultly staying in bed again. I would reccommend putting off the toddler bed if possible, at least for a few more months.

Whenever she can get out of the crib on her own she needs to be in a toddler bed as then the crib is more dangerous.
I wouldn't, however, put her in a toddler bed just yet because I would be worried about her hurting herself when she is getting out of it. If however she is fine at getting in and out of bed then you could switch her.
If you have to switch her (because she won't sleep in the crib or something. You could always just put a mattress on the floor.
Do bolt her dresser to the wall, and any bookcases and otherwise childproof her room though.

I dont know if you have ever seen them but, when my kids were little they made these little kid couches that fold out for naps. Try her on that so if she falls out of bed it will only be about 6 inches, and not a foot or more. The problim with moveing a young child into a bed that they can get out of is just that, they can get out. What is going to happen when she wakes up? is she going to roam the house and get hurt? Is she climing out of the crib now? I dont think there is any perfect age to move a child to a bed, it all depends on the child and the parent.

We put our daughter in a toddler bed when she was 14 month old because she could climb out of her crib. If she is walking and very active it may be a good idea but if she is content in her crib you may want to give her a few more months.

I wouldn't, she's still small enough that she could get wedged between the wall and the bed or the railing and the mattress. And she may not feel as secure that way. My son didn't get a toddler bed until he was two and he was walikng at one. He was so excited and it's fun to wait to do things when they can be excited about them!

I would wait until she's a little older. If she still takes naps - she won't stay in a toddler bed. Until she climbs out of her crib - keep it.

maximum ped.'s advise which you maintain a baby in a crib as on the brink of three years old as obtainable. in case you're dozing and she or he gets out of her mattress in the midst of the night and you dont awaken to her getting obtainable is so manything she would be able to do. If i've got been you i might save her in the crib as long as she would be able to stay in it, a minimum of two years. good success.
