My car's the same way. You do have to remove the battery to put in the new bulb. Isn't that a pain? They sure don't try to make things easy on us do they? As for what a girl's to do....this girl got a guy friend to change it. You can also go to an auto parts place and they will put it in for you. If you bought the replacement at Autozone or someplace like that I would take it back there (with the receipt) and ask them if they will install it for you. They probably will, especially if you can prove you bought it there. If not, then ask a guy you know for help. GOOD LUCK!

If the light is one of the newer kind, you should be able to twist out the bulb portion from the back of the lamp, and replace it. Look for the wire that is attached to the lamp and then disconnect it, and then twist out the bulb. Go to the auto parts store and have them give you the correct one to change it out.
If you have an Autozone or like type auto store, ask the guys in the counter to help you figure out what to do. They are helpful, and some may even change it out for you!
