Scrappy Doo was just SUCH a bad idea! I mean, c'mon - a talking dog????
I know that Scooby "spoke" to Shaggy - but just in 'doggish' sounds with a limited vocabulary. Considering that all of the ghosts and monsters were just "Mr Jones the landlord!" with a mask on - thereby proving each episode that there is no such thing as ghosts.... how they made a talking dog fit is beyond me.
And he was such a goddam smart-@rse with it too!

Without, but I'm not really fussed since I've not seen it in such a long time.
I do have an episode on tape with just scooby, scrappy and the guy (forgot his name) and they go to some old house of the guys uncle or something.. anyways, it's really good and It didn't really focus on scrappy.. poor guy, give him a break.

BTW, did you know...
that the show was originally in development as an animated version of the TV series "The Many Loves of Dobie Gillis". Why? I don't know....
Fred = Dobie
Daphne = Thalia
Velma = Zelda
Shaggy = Maynard
I suppose the networks thought it wouldn't fly as an animated series, so they added the dog (Scooby), changed the names of the characters (not sure if the producers were going to go with the character names from Dobie Gillis or not), and sent them out in the "Mystery Machine" to solve mysteries similar in flavor to a Hardy Boys novel.
But I digress...
Anyway, let me reiterate...NO Scrappy!!!

I didn't like watching scooby doo when they added scrappy doo, it ruined it the programme completely. I like what they did in the first scooby doo film.

scooby doo just hasn't been the same since scrappy doo arrived, he is so boring the who show focuses on him poor scooby doesn't get a look in

Scrappy Doo is the devil incarnate. me & my friend both love Scooby Doo but we both loathe Srappy with a passion. he's so freakin' annoying!!! arggh!!!!
