The speed limit on alot of these roads in the Tampa Bay area on city streets is 45. Is is almost impossible nowadays to even get near that speed even if the traffic isn't heavy. And if you do get up to that speed it takes forever. I look and almost always see that there are a few culprits on cellphones blocking up the lanes driving side by side. I have also read in a Yahoo news story a few months ago that they are statistically as dangerous as drunk drivers. Should cell phone usage while driving be banned?

I am a tow-truck driver, I have been stuck behind vehicles with the driver on the cell phone....It get's really annoying when you are called to an accident with vehicles blocking & you cannot get there fast because the moron in front of you is doing 25 in a 55 because they are on the phone.....I personally think they should be outlawed while driving, you want to use the phone? pull into a parking lot, park, then make the call................easy enough....SOLUTION? not easy, try honking at them if they are not going the speed of traffic.........

I agree..the practice of speaking on cell telephones even as driving is irresponsible and dangerous. Can those people not wait until eventually they're off the line formerly taking a telephone call. they're risking the lives of others and are potential murderers!! I resent that my existence and my households, are contained in the palms of idiots like those, each and each and every time we favor to flow someplace contained in the motorcar.

Now here is a solution for you...go around them and get in front of them. When you finally do then go ahead and slam on your brakes. Once they rear end you claim whiplash and sue the crap out of them. That will teach them to talk on the phone! Just my two cents.
