My favourite early Beatle song is 'Eight Days a Week'. It is brilliant and does not get the airplay it deserves. My favourite all-time Beatle song is 'Revolution'. Best Beatle was John! But that's another question.

Almost impossible to choose! I'd say Let it Be, though, coz it just has that great melody...Not a single band today in their peak can come close to this song or any of the Beatles' songs. I mean, even Her Majesty has more of a melody than the great U2's Vertigo.

I'm partial to the fast version of John's "Revolution" primarily because Paul wasn't sticking his nose in it. Nothing against Paul, but there were other members in the band. Second choice: "All You Need Is Love" also a John song. It summed up the feelings of everything at that time.

Tough question...I can name about 100 that are better than most other group's best. I'd probably have to say that Hey Jude was just about their finest work. Let it Be, In My Life, and The Ballad of John and Yoko also get honorable mention.

I Want You (She's So Heavy) is their most under-rated but Hey, Jude is the best. It alone ensures Paul McCartney's lasting place in the pantheon of great songwriters.
