it is up to you and the pierceing person doing it.they may have certain rules of ages to do it,but make sure you keep an eye on her as babies tend to play with theirfaces and pull on things.

I had my daughters ears pierced at claires and she had to be 4 months (age of her last vaccination), this was claires policy and had to show them proof of all vaccinations, I had two people pierce my little girls ears at the same time, which made it over and done with in a second, she did not even cry just looked abit shocked, also she did not touch them or play with them, I think the sooner they get them done they will not fidget with them
good luck in getting your little girls ears pierced and she will look lovely

I would personally advise against piercing your children's ears (yes some parents get their boys done as well). That is a choice I think you should leave to your CHILD. I don't see any difference from piercing ones ears from piercing ie. belly buttons. It is mutilating the body, just one is more socially acceptable.

I used to work at a daycare. One of the babies there pulled both her earrings out several times by 6 months that she may never be able to wear earrings again. Why would you intentionally hurt your child?

Admittingly I don't have girls. But when I do have one, I will not get her ears pierced until SHE is ready and able to tell me in a sentence she is.

I take it none of you have ever heard of babies pulling out and swallowing their own ear rings, how about poking themselves in the eye or shoving it in their ear? The last thing little babies need is something to fidget with their fingers or put in their mouths, I know it looks cute but you might better wear clip-ons for photos and wait until they are older. All I can say is if it comes up missing you better get a fork and hope you find it in the diaper over the next few days.

down here (southamerica) we do it before leaving the hospital. There are many people against it but I like it. My mom is an ob/gyn and she pierced our ears (3 daughters) before she left the hospital too. I've never said hey look how awful my ears look pierced...it's a girl thing...no girl is gonna regret it...but I guess some moms like their girls looking like boys for a while....it's a cultural thing and I think many americans are very uptight about something so silly. Do it whenever you want...I assure youyour girl is never gonna complaint about it.

In some cultures, the baby gets their ears pierced right away. I think that three months should be fine.

I would think that she is old enough to do it, but I would give the doctor a quick call just to make sure and I think most doctors can do it in the office. Love little girls with earings, they look so cute!
