Unlike the opposition Bush has maintained his beliefs and not swayed with the polls like trees in the wind. Being popular is not as important as being correct. Republicans may have made many mistakes but they do not hide behind lies like the democrats do. Whoever believes the democrats are for the poor need to look at the facts. The republicans have given more to entitlement programs than the democrats did. Instead of seeking praise for doing the right thing they just do it. The democrats try and made big deals about pushing for wrong causes. Making people want to get ahead and earn more is far better than saying well stay in that do nothing job and we will raise the minimum wage. Never forget minimum wage was to enable small business and workers a common ground to promote growth. The employees are to better their performance and advance instead of staying at the ground level.

Where do I start to refute your assumptions the war in Iraq is all a matter of how you look at it. Right now all the news is negative but if you look at it objectively it has been a success 3000 dead in 4 years 50 million people freed with the chance to establish a democracy if you can tell me of a similar war with less casualties please state it. The economy is great stock market record high, home ownership record high, 4.2% unemployment 3% inflation the rest of the world would love to have that problem. Most of the reason people vote Republican is because they realize that the Democrats are a dependency party. To give a simple analogy they are like your local drug dealer at first he goes around and offer you free drugs not because he really cares about you , but he knows that after you are hooked you are now dependent on him or his network and he now has a steady stream of people that will always need him. The Republicans on the other hand believe more in the individual helping himself with minimal government help. Another analogy
2 set of parents Democrat parents are the ones that give their children everything no responsibilities they never have to leave home don't have to pay rent. The republican parents says that after you finish schooling you will either have to work move out or pay rent which set of children do you think will be successful in life. I have yet to see a situation where dependcey is good for the human spirit.

I vote Republican because I believe in the party more than other.
The democratic party has gone to far to the left of my morals - reason I left them years ago. . I don't believe the "new conservative dems" will be anything more the same message - better packaging .
Personally I believe , It is wrong to kill babies(abortion), I do not like the idea of gay marriage, I do not believe that a person has to depend on social programs(welfare) to survive, I do not like the idea of if you prosper within your life time the government can tax you into your grave, I do not believe socialized health care is helpful or amnesty for people that entered the country without paperwork is a grand idea.
At the moment the economy is strong - it has been for the past 6 years. The unemployment rate in the country is the lowest it has been in decades. The Iraq war brought down a tyrant and we could be out of there if the Iraqi people would stand up & take control of their own future. Guantanamo isn't a torture camp and WE (Americans) haven't cut the heads off of anyone there - that would be torture.

Well to start with, most of us are not particularly happy about voting Republican. It is just choosing the less of two evils.
Nevertheless, the Republicans are a FAR, FAR better choice than the Democrats. Unfortunately, most people don't know enough facts to know better. You're a perfect example, all of the things you listed are just plain wrong. I'll try to enlighten you below:
1.) War in Iraq: 25,000,000 people freed from slavery, that's a good thing. ~2,500 casualties is the lowest rate of casualties of any war in history. 14 of 17 provinces are perfectly safe.
2.) The Economy: 4.4% unemployment, better than all of the '90s. Dow Jones at highest level in history (12,000+). Longest and highest sustained level of GDP growth over the last 5 years than at any time in the history of our nation.
3.) Rights: not one person has lost any rights in our country. Anybody that says otherwise is a liar.
4.) No torture is going on at Guantanamo. Not real torture like pulling out finger nails or electric shocks. At worst they are accused of "water boarding" and sleep deprivation. Regardless, there is nothing wrong with torture in the right circumstances. If sombody kidnapped your child, you would torture them to get your child back. Any parent would. Torture is unpleasant, but in some special circumstances it is necessary.
Don't get me wrong, the Republicans are far from perfect and have done a lot of things I disagree with. However, they have done a few things right, whereas the Democrats have done nothing right. Like I said, the lesser of two evils, but still a very obvious choice as to which is better.

Muslim terrorists have said they will destroy Israel and America. That makes them less than human. Humans don't kill other humans because of religious beliefs. Some renegade Christians tried this back a few years ago and real Christians stopped them. Why don't 'moderate' Muslims stop the radicals?
I am all in favor of torture of terrorists. No Problem. Keep it up. Anything to find and kill terrorists.
The economy is the greatest its ever been. What data are you reading?
The war in Iraq is killing terrorists where they live and breed. The war is also giving the Iraqs a chance to govern themselves as a democratic nation. I don't see your problem here.
I voted Republican to forestall the European Socialist movement. Socialism has never worked. It is a failure. Liberals love failure. If we are winning the war they say we are loosing. If we are close to winning they want to surrender to avoid winning!
Plain and simple: We have the strongest economy ever, we have tracked down many terrorists and killed them. We have done this even in the face of nut case Liberals who whine over every little criticism. Who gives a fig what the world thinks? The world is not going to protect me and my nation.
I'd rather be alive and well under a Republican than live under Liberal Socialist government trying to suck my blood and kiss up to the world.
Got it?

Our economy is great, the poor were able to buy homes for the first time. Bush lowered taxes for poor and middle class. Republicans are more aware of the dangers of Radical Islamic Extremists. Republicans in general don't want babies murdered, and do want murderers gone forever. If terrorists were willing to sign the Geneva Convention and follow it, we probably would not have the cowardly dogs hiding behind masks as they cut soldiers heads off. And you think we are guilty of torture, If that is how you truly see us I doubt you will ever understand anything about a Republican.

Voting for a Republican does not necessarily mean a vote for Bush. It is just the alternative i.e. a Government by Kerry, Kennedy, and Palosi is a worse alternative at least in my view.
The economy is doing great in the USA.
What erosion of human rights? You and I plus millions of others can criticize, vote and petition the US government without fear of the Police crashing into our homes.
Europe and elsewhere have a far worse record on civil rights.
If you do not believe me just ask Canadians about Ernst Zundel or Austrians about David Irving.

Because Republicans believe in letting people who work hard reap the rewards instead of stealing their money and giving it to crack hos.
Because Republicans believe in getting the government out of my life as much as possible and letting me live my life the way I see fit.
Because Republicans are much smarter economically. They lower tax rates and INCREASE government revenues. Win/win!
Because Republicans believe in letting the little guy succeed and not taxing and legislating him to the point where it's just not worth running his own business.
Because Republicans have standards and stick to them. There are exceptions in every group, but, for the majority of conservatives, they stick to their convictions. We don't believe in "situational ethics." We don't use "broad mental reservation" to lie. Do you expect me to believe that Bill Clinton did not consider a BJ to be "sexual relations?" He understood the spirit of the question regardless of what the thought the legal definition of "sexual relations" was.
