Rent it and find out.... It's a great stop-action film by Tim Burton.
Jack Skellington, the pumpkin king of Halloween Town, is bored with doing the same thing every year for Halloween. One day he stumbles into Christmas Town, and is so taken with the idea of Christmas that he tries to get the resident bats, ghouls, and goblins of Halloween town to help him put on Christmas instead of Halloween -- but alas, they can't get it quite right.
Definitely worth the time and effort!

It is based off a poem written by Tim Burton...
The poem was written while wondering what would happen if different holidays discovered each other and tried to emulate a different holiday... in the case of the movie Jack the Pumpkin King discovers Christmas, he is tired of Halloween and wants something new so he tries to take Santa's place
its very cute
Have a GREAT day!

Try one of the three (maybe all will help}
It is the same routine every year in Halloweentown, on Halloween the monsters come out and perform a real scare. This particular Halloween, the pumpkin king Jack Skellington, bored of the idea, saunters off into the woods with his dog Zero after Halloween night. Upon the break of dawn, he discovers a clearing of trees with different doors representing various holidays. The Christmas Tree door attracts his attention and upon entrance into the world of Christmas, Jack is fascinated with this new idea of Christmas that he must absolutely share with the citizens of Halloweentown.
Jack Skellington, Pumpkin King, ruler of Halloweentown, happens upon Christmastown, and decides to change Christmas into another Halloween. He kidnaps Santa Claus, then takes it upon himself to deliver some alternative gifts to unsuspecting children.

Jack, the King of Halloween decides to switch places with Santa for Christmas. Of course, mayhem ensues since Jack's idea of a good Christmas gift is something spooky (the toys chase the children and try to bite them in one segment).
