When I put makeup on every day I don't use any products before application, such as moisturizers, exfoliants, etc. I just wash my face in the shower, put foundation on, then put the other makeup on. I know that's not a good thing, but I don't know what types of products to use for keeping my skin healthy and fresh. I am only 23 right now so it hasn't shown yet. But when I get older it probably will. What are some good, inexpensive products I can use to keep my makeup from damaging my skin?

I recomend MaryKay! Its a great product, you get to meet with a consultant and she'll let you try anything you'd like, she can make recomendations for your specific needs... you can have a friend or a couple with you for a fun girls night, and if you host it at your house, you can get free product! she'll come to you, so there is no travel invoved foy you, and you get to try it before you buy it, and its 100% guarenteed if you don't like something then you can get the $$ back or trade for something that works for you!!

If you are looking for inexpensive skincare products, I'd say Burt's Bees is a good option. You didn't mention your skin type, but Burt's products never cause breakouts, even though they are not oil free. They are all natural and don't contain stuff like paraben or other artificial preservatives. It's always good to apply some moisturizer under your make up, and sunscreen if you are going out in the sun.

Well Skin Care is fading out the picture since the approval of Botox Treatments. One of the growing trends for aging Americans in todays society is Botox treatment. Now Botox was originally use for facial wingles but now Doctors have discovered that true facial care has been discovered with Botox treatment, approved by the American Food and Drug Administration in 2002, also is the practice of having a Botox cosmetic called Botulinum Toxin Type A injected into areas of the face where wrinkles appear which has found to clear the skin also. Botox treatment has allowed clients to remain seemingly ageless by stopping wrinkles and challanging skin in their tracks once they begin to appear. I found an article that talks more about it here.

don't use a harsh soap in the shower in the morning, thats a sure way of making skin rough and dry. use a light cleanser (cetaphil gentle cleanser works VERY well- at all drugstores & its cheap) you must must must wear moisturizer no matter what. keeping skin moisturized aids against wrinkles. another must, is sunscreen. this is perhaps the best thing you can do for your skin. it prevents the damage of your skin (aka premature aging, wrinkles, sun spots) by the suns harmful UV rays. wear at least a sunscreen (made for the face) of SPF30. also, don't forget to exfoliate about 1-3 times a week. good luck :)

Any product that are right for your skin type (oily, dry, combination). I love the Body Shop products.
And be sure to wash your face before going to bed, it's not good to sleep with makeup on.

It's very important to have healthy skin underneath your make-up. You can request skin care samples from Mary Kay. They are awesome and will make a huge difference in how your skin and make up looks.
