That depends on your definition of "smart".
Smart could mean acquired knowledge or it could mean brain potential. In other words, if Albert Einstein had been raised by monkeys, he would have seemed pretty stupid. However, he would still have possessd the same exceptional brain which produced the theory of General Relativity.
As far as acquiring knowledge, I'd rate myself an eight or a nine. My brain is filled with tons of useless factoids and trivia. I also understand a lot of high level concepts especially having to do with political science, history, and economics. But I could'nt rebuild an engine to save my life.
Check out Gardner's Multiple IntelligenceTheory; you might be interested...unless you aren't very smart.
