In order for your voice to be heard on whatever medium, and through whatever channel, how much does it cost?

Is what you say censored?

Is there really such a thing as free speech anywhere, except in Hyde Park Corner if you live close by?

Free speech can cost you friends.
It can cost you your job, your house, everything you own.
It can cost you time.
It can cost you your life.
But it is priceless. Don't ever give it up. If you have something to say, somthing that is worthwhile in this country of lies and decite, say it. free speech is everywhere and it is in you.
Don't be a coward. Get your soap box, stand on it and scream.

And there is my two cents.

To a degree freedom of speech is an impossible dream especially in today's very sensitive PC climate. For example TV is censored by politicians; editors and the majority of what is aired is censored by somebody somewhere so peoples from various cultures and religions sensibilities are not slighted.

In newspapers the same applies to a certain degree and even in our personal lives the freedom to say what we actually think is often censored (by ourselves) to avoid hurting peoples feeling or perhaps more importantly for people to fit into social groups

Freedom of speech does not usually cost, except for the lives we give for the people in Iraq and other countries we have liberated. If someone is censoring me I have never known of it happening. I don't work for one of those companies that oversee emails!

If you live in China, then it could cost you everything, including your life!
Nothing in life is FREE!
In America, you have free speach only until you say the wrong thing or look like you are about to!
In the UK you have free speach, as long as its poliitically correct and not upsetting any minority. (Majority groups can get as upset as they like! The Government Doesn't give a Sh1t about them.)
Free Speach costs a Lot.

Depends on with whom you're speaking and what you're speaking to them about. You do have the right to free speech, but there is an ultimate price to pay. Which in effect makes "FREE SPEECH' null and void. It is uniquely symbolic of what we would hope to be able to do but can't.

Free speech no longer exists in the UK. You can lose your job or be imprisoned just for speaking your mind. New Labour are traitorous scum.
