oh the poor thing. if u r sure ur baby is teething then u could get some teething powders from chemist to rub on her gums. Give her a peeled and sliced cucumber from the fridge to chew on duing the day, at the age of 7 1/2 months ur child will now be able to hold this. Alternatively instead of teething rings u can now get a teething/soother type thing. put this in the fridge and give to ur child when gums are particularly sore.
You could also try getting a small baby toothbrush and gently (very gently) brush your childs gums - not only will this help with the pain but it will also get her used to having a brush in her mouth for when you start to brush her teeth when they come through.

Carrot strips frozen for a couple of hours and put a tooth brush in the freezer to chew on next day. And Bickiepegs teething biscuits are fantastic - even the dog took ages to bite through one!
Nelson's Teetha, it's a homeopathic remedy in sachets, has camomile etc. mellows the baby out. And liquid Anbesol, knocks everything out, dab it on sore spots on gums - I've used it for breastfeeding pain and nettle stings
er... do check it is just teething though obviously, don't take a website of people's suggestions as definite. Do ask someone professional.

Well, first of all are you sure the baby is teething? Check the gums for lumps. That's a dead give away. If so try letting the child chew on a cold wet washcloth along with baby oragel. Try cutting up bananas and putting them in the freezer, let baby chew on them. Check baby's stomach, it may be constipation. Softly masage baby's stomach and lower abdomen and dilute prune juice with water, and give baby about 4 oz. Just to cover all the bases. Make sure its not an ear infection, that would be bad. Look inside the ear and make sure it isn't red.

If you're sure it's a teething problem (sometimes babies will have red cheeks and be pulling at their ears if it is) then try rubbing some Calgel onto the gums and give your baby something cold and hard to chew on or a teething biscuit.
Oral painkillers like Calpol will help a bit but they're not as localised as putting something directly on the gums.
I wouldn't use gin or whiskey or anything alcoholic - you never know how much will be absorbed into the bloodstream.
I hope your little one feels better soon.

I can relate to that - I remember how my daughter always cried non-stop and to this day she is a fusser -- what can you do? Have to suck it up and become solution oriented or lose your noodle and we don't want that.
If she is teething there is something called "humpreys" that you can get over the counter at your local pharmacy, which helps num the discomfort of ingrowing teeth.
There was a number of things I tried with my daughter some things worked somethings didn't but looking for ways to comfort baby will get you results if you just keep trying -
Try feeding the baby - burping, holding baby upright, rock child side to side motion. Sing a song. Put music on ( light soft music ) Take baby a bath, give baby pacifier.
Take a break when you need it - sometimes baby need to cry just for a few minutes while you pray ( lol ) its not easy as it wasn't for me and I was all alone - no body to help me
I took care of my daughter 27/7 by my lonesome and it was fustrating, but when I felt myself getting fustrated I had to talk out loud to myself and say " ok, you are fustrated ok, because.....and......ok...
Sharing this to say that we are not perfect and we can sometimes feel like failures as parents if baby is always crying somehow we turn that all inward, and it causes anger from not knowing what to do, or how to meet baby's need.
Try going for a walk with the baby sometimes that soothes them - Turn the fan on ; babies like the white noise that fans make.If after trying all these things nothing works then, take the baby to the doctor or emergency room it could be colic or something like that -- but take it easy try your best to have an intuitive ear to what your baby is trying to communicate --
And good job, coming on here looking for suggestions -- it shows you are solution oriented...good luck and take it easy..

First of all CALM DOWN.
Baby will sense your distress and will cry more. Take deep breaths, hold baby close to you, go into a quiet room, not too bright, and talk or sing softly. Rock her slowly, pat her bottom, anything rhythmical will sooth your baby.
I see you have given painkillers. Do not give any more. Give a little milk, rub her gums with bonjela.
Most importantly, keep calm. The calmer and more relaxed you are, the quicker baby will settle.
Once baby is quiet and calm lay her down for a little sleep. She will be worn out.
Sssshhh quietly does it!!
Good luck.

Pain killers (and I hope you just mean Tylenol) will take a bit to take effect. If that doesn't work, try baby orajel or something with a numbing effect. And if that doesn't work, sorry, can't help ya. But I feel for ya!! Hang in there, she'll stop eventually, she has to! :) And if gets that bad, call the dr.

You can buy tethers for a baby at a Wall-Mart or where ever they sale baby items at. Don't keep giving the baby pain killers you could over-dose the child. Find some BABY oral-gel. Make sure it's for infants or babys!
