I am a student and live in london and so am not that loaded (under £70?) and need a dress that i can wear to my best friend's 18th and possibly also my sixth form ball. Also i prefer not to buy over the internet so if you could list some places that i can go to get one that would be brilliant.
Thanks for all your help xXx

primark, asda, tesco, matalan, pilot, dotty p's, top shop, most places do fairly inexpensive dresses, it's just getting flat shoes on and hit the shops
try the small independent ones, can find some right bargains
otherwise it's the retro and charity shops, you can find some real bargains in them

Do they have "resale" shops in London? In America, we have stores where people sell on commission or give away clothes and other household items that are gently used. I've been able to acquire lots of items for half to only 10% of what I'd normally pay for the item if it were brand new.

At least, this is another choice for you, I hope. Good luck!

H & M! if not in the New York area. then buy some fabric go to your local cleaner and ask for a good seamstress, an alteration place will usually be able to satisfy your fashion need for
cents on the dollar.
good luck.
