No children have very sensitive skin and the chemicals are very harsh
Espeically avoid in public pools!!! They are over treated because of high use
And children have a hard time regualting their body temperature so it is not good to subject them to high temps

Children can safely play in a spa, but there are a couple of safety issues that must be considered:
Children heat up much more rapidly than adults...kids should not spend more than 10-15 minutes in a spa, lest they overheat. Keeping your spa on the cool side reduces this risk. I put my three year old on the rim every few minutes to let him cool off. then he jumps right back in when he's cool.
The spa water should not be swallowed, it is full of salts, dead bacteria, anti-foam agents, etc. It may look clear but it's probably just as dirty as used bath water, plus it has chemicals. In a non-ozonated system, you will likely have a lot of bromine and chlorine in the spa as well. These are not good for adults, much less children, and high concentrations can cause skin irritation. Children are especially vulnerable to rashes. A swim diaper will keep a young child from totally fouling the water, but it does not eliminate contamination from pee or poop entirely.
The PH of the spa must be carefully monitored, as well as Chlorine or Bromine levels. Never add chemicals to the spa when anyone is in it, and don't use it for 15 minutes after adding chemicals. PH-up is like Drano - it burns from it's alkalinity. PH-down is acid - and it burns too. Inconsistent monitoring and faulty use of chemicals will turn a clean spa into a bacterial breeding ground in no time. A clean, well maintained spa is essential for safety.
Supervision - the most important element. A spa is far more dangerous than a bathtub - it has currents, is very deep and slippery tall sides. A child in trouble may be drowned out by the noise of the spa jets. Children must be monitored at all times. Children should never, ever be left in a spa, even with older siblings...that is a recipe for disaster.
Other than that, be sure to bring cool beverages and some rubber ducks to float around the spa, my kids get a kick out of that!

Well it's generally not recommended to put a child in a hot tub, but chemically speaking, pools are fine for babies 6 months and up.

NO NO and NO! The water in a hot tub is to hot for the baby.
Now if you want to take the baby in a pool, that's fine. Just as long as he/she can hold his/her head up good!

NO, the water it self is not good. Besides it would be to hot for their small bodies to handle.
