The 80`s were great , i love that era !! Music now is sh.it ..
I liked Duran Duran , Depeche Mode , Thompson Twins , Madonna , Spandau Ballet , Simple Minds , Howard Jones , Adam and the Ants ,Yazz ,Deacon Blue and far too many to mention !!

Has to be Level 42 and Alison Moyet. Not to mention I was a Brosette! Looking back though their music wasn't great. They just looked good! I think the 80's were the best too. There's so much rubbish on the market these days although it has improved. Oh yes Erasure was another fave. Bring back the 80's!

All of them had their moments but don,t forget the Pet Sop Boys et al. I would just like to comment that the music of today is no worse or better than the 80's I think you will finf that it is an age thing i.e. we are all a lot older and as you get older your tastes change you are probably harping back to school/college days when you did not have as many hassles in your life and it was sweet

It's crazy, but my all time favorite band is...Duran Duran. My idols. Guys that got all the chicks. Had fun music, and cool videos. The 80's was mostly about fun indulgent music. What was not to like?

Luther Vandross were great, also Whitney Houston first came out.Level 42, lessons in Love, running in the family.

Gosh do you also remember that all family band, all brothers and sisters from I think it was Hawaii and the were called The Jetts, they got to number one with that song 'Crush on you'

All of it, New wave, pop, hair bands...I loved it!

My favs are: Poison, Van Halen, Def Leppard.
The Cars, Duran Duran, Spansau Ballet, Human League, Thompson Twins, etc....

without a doubt it would HAVE to be Queen, Madness, The Clash (not Cut the Crap that was poor). oh and the specials!ghost town! the clash though..gotta love the quote on their london calling dvd: "its the most popular/successful album of the 80s!...ok thats all well and good but wasnt it released in 79?" classic!
