Down here they are called Tacos Dorados .. and they are all home/hand made. No brands thank you

You won't find taquitos in Mexico. They are an American invention.

These are some Mexican dishes with salsa verde, that I remember:
- Enchiladas verdes ('Green Enchiladas')
- Enchiladas suizas ('Swiss Enchiladas'. Basically, green enchiladas with melted cheese on top. Usually Swiss or Monterrey Jack).
- Chilaquiles con pollo ('Chilaquiles with Chicken'. Fried corn tortilla pieces, with chicken, green tomato or tomatillo sauce and cheese or sour cream).
- Some people pour the salsa on top of fried eggs.

The best taquitos are homemade..........they're really easy to make too. Salsa verde goes great with lots of other foods. Echiladas, chilaquiles, tamales, fish tacos,...........and the list goes on

HOME MADE TACOS ARE THE BEST. THE ONES SOLD IN STORES ARE THE WORST. IT'S WORSE THAN THE MICROWAVE PIZZA.
SALSA VERDE IS GOOD WITH MEATS, TACOS, DIPS, ETC.
A FAMOUS MEXICAN BREAKFEAST IS 2 EGGS, 1 WITH GREEN SALSA, 1 WITH RED SALSA AND IT IS KNOWN AS DIVORCE EGGS.
