Citroen Belingo temperature guage reading, erratic!!?

My 2001 Berlingo has had a temperature reading problem for the last few months, whilst driving it will shoot to red fans on then a few minutes later back to a zero reading and so on sometimes in a journey it can happen 10-15 times. How easy is this to fix is it just a thermo stat change??? If so where on the car is it?

Bad engine earth causes this problem.

I would think bad ground or loose connection. You can check it yourself.

you might need a new heating sensor fitting
