. In the Nicean Council of 325 AD, the Church (meaning the hierarchy of the Church) voted on what scriptures to considered sacred, and part of the Bible, and which to regard as false, partially false irrelevant, or otherwise not qualified to be part of the collection of canonical scripture.
. Since then, any text which might have come along is not considered. The Bible was fixed within Church canon, with the exception that Protestants later deleted some of the books from the Catholic Bible.
