A little spotting every once in a while is ok I think.
Make sure and get those paps each year, and mention your spotting to your doctor. CALL the doctor if the spotting doesn't quit or becomes heavier. That could be a sign of trouble.

Depends what you mean by OK. It doesn't necessarily mean harm to your health, but it's probably pretty annoying for you. If you're on the pill it can be caused by that, so you should see your doc to see if they can switch you to another brand. If you're not on the pill, then I'd see the doc anyway, cos as cycle's go there should only really be bleeding to expell the lining of your womb...bleeding inbetween could mean that you're not ovulating as you should be, which depending on your age and situation, may or may not be an issue for you.

Not normal to spot between periods, go to docs and have a smear test to check everything is OK. Don't put it off.

Are you below your normal body weight? are you using birth control? have you always spotted?
Best thing to do is ask your doctor. There are many factors that can go into this, and you need to find out what's goin on.

It depends on your age. when girls are young they tend to spot until their body becomes more regular. at an older age this may be a sign of menopause. It is usually nothing to worry about. most girls have this problem, and it will correct itself.
