It’s tempting to anoint David Garrard the Jacksonville savior. He came through at a crucial time and led the underachieving Jaguars to a much-needed win against an imposing Eagles force. But against the Titans he simply played the role of Dad driving the family to their favorite vacation destination; he just set the cruise control to 70 mph and coasted down the open freeway, occasionally changing a lane here or there, but never being forced do anything too difficult. After all, the Titans defense ranks at the very bottom of the league and for that reason Garrard’s performance should indicate nothing more than competence, not the deserving NFL-starter status many have so quickly placed upon him. When can he garner that title? When he proves he can lead passing attack against playoff-caliber defenses. The goal here is to win a championship, so get Leftwich back in there. Let him prove that his last performance against the Texans was a fluke.

With so many blitzes in today's NFL, you have to be mobile. QB's like Walter for Oakland, Bledsoe, Leftwich; are tall, big QB's but they are very slow afoot and aren't mobile. Leftwich once joked in an interview that he was the slowest black guy on earth.

Garrard can run, scramble and evade blitzers. Garrard isn't super accurate but he has potential and I'd definitely play him over Leftwich. I'm sure that they will have Leftwich sit for a week or two more saying they want him completely healthy, to see is Garrard can cut it.

Leftwich is the better QB, Garrard just works better in that offense. Leftwich does not have the mobility and obviously their line cant hold up for Leftwich. Garrard has been playing well so I expect to see Leftwich gone next year (Possibly to Minnesota?)

it's too early to say

Leftwich hasn't really been given a chance to prove himself, there has been so much "controversy" since he replaced Brunell

Garrard has only played in a handful of games lately (i think 2 or 3, i don't really keep up with the Jaguars, even though i live in Jacksonville) i believe they won one game and lost one since he has been starting

i say give it more time before making a judgment

Garrard. Leftwich is just a black Drew Bledsoe with a slower release. Neither of them is great though...

I say Leftwich, because my Giants need an easy target. Theyre so hurting with injuries right now.
