I am experiencing contractions but they won't get regular to get the job done. What can I do at home to speed up the process?

Walking may help them speed up and become more regular - if they are real and not Braxton-Hicks. Do NOT take castor oil, that will only make you violently ill. Standing vs laying down or sitting. With my last son. I went from 3cm to 10cm in 20 min just by standing in the shower instead of laboring in bed with irregular contractions. I used a rocking chair with my 2nd son. Very relaxing, found it to create more rhythm to the contractions.
good luck and congratulations

How far along are you? Walking can help make contractions regular, but you may not be in real labor yet. They may just be Braxton Hicks.

My contractions with my first baby didn't get regular until they broke my water. They were 2-5 minutes apart for 10 hours when I decided I was going to the hospital whether they liked it or not. LOL

With my current pregnancy, I get braxton hicks contractions that will be only a few minutes apart, but not regular.

Try walking, drinking water, lying down. If a change in activity or drinking water doesn't make them stop, it could be real. If it does stop, then it was only BH contractions. With me, however, sitting or walking I get them, it is only when laying down that they tend to stop.
