In fantasy basketball terms. Please share your reasoning. Thanks a lot! Should I trade one of my marquee players (redd, odom, carter, marion) for a center or should I wait for Z and Diaw to get better?

I suggest that you keep Redd (who is out of his mind right now leading the league in scoring), Odom (who is a potential triple-double every night), Carter (who is ill right now but can really light up the scoreboard, especially now that Jefferson is out), and Marion (Who can do it all, MIN, PTS, 3 PTS Makes, REBS, ASTS, BLKS, STLS, etc.)

As for Gerald Wallace, you have what people refer to as a "poor man's Andre Kirilenko" and much like the aforementioned player, Gerald is also injury prone. He as yet to miss any time, but with the emergence of rookie Adam Morrison and the potential return of center Primoz Brezec, the playing time of Wallace could decrease (hense, less stats).

While in Zarundas Ilgauskas, you get a solid center that gives you at the minimum PTS, MIN, REBS (at 8 a game, I think), and BLKS. On the negative side, he also has a history of injury problems but has seemed to avoid that the last couple of seasons.

Lastly, Boris Diaw. This early into the season, Boris is a big dissapointment, especially when he told his coach that "if he were the coach, he would bench himself as well." Diaw's fantasy numbers have dipped (he is currently averaging pedestrian numbers which are a far cry from last years 6 rebounds and 6 assists a game effort). In all honesty, I don't see that improving unless an injury to a team mate forces him to step up and start again or his he regains the fitness that made him last year's most improved player.

I feel that if you can trade Wallace for an established "C" then go for it. Keep Diaw and Z.

Hope this helps.

Gerald Wallace is coming off an injury plagued season and so far is not himself, Big Z cannot get into the offense because he doesn't understand the new plays, and Diaw is having a good start to the season but is playing behind Shawn Marion and Amare Stoudamire. I would probably wait and see, its still too early in the season, and I'd keep your big players for now and see which centers are available as free agents if you're just looking for rebounds etc at this stage.

gerald wallace might be able to get better this year but the other two will get much worse since last year. big Z is getting older and his game is deteriorating and soon he will have a seriously bad injury. Diaw had a nice season last year but with amare back his role is seriously reduced he is still serviceable but no longer elite

if u want a marquee center then u should trade now! z and diaw will only disappoint.

Redd for somebody consistant like Bryant or Davis and Wallace is already getting better, Diaw was only good because nobody was playing on the Suns and Illgauskas might get better
