I am a MCSE and A+ ceritfied Tech, and run my own in home business also, the best advice I can give is check out in the area how many people are doing out calls.
We have a few people in town that are doing in-home repairs and tech work along with a few small computer dealers, my work is with small business and friends doing software upgrades, small repairs and network installations.
See if people you know are interested in allowing you to do clean ups in there systems, most people when the computer starts to run slow have no idea of the way to free up space and memory, that is where you come in, set an hourly rate and be flexible, the more work you get the better, and if a small computer store is looking for a tech look to that to supplement your income.
I do 3-5 things a month but I am on a disability and can only work so much, but first see what is out there and then make your decision to see if the market needs a person like yourself to fill that gap.
Oh and don't take the first respondants comments to heart, some people don't have anything better to do.
