I just got a new PC, but my sound is distorted it sounds like it in a cave, can anyone help. thanks?

Please adjust sound properties ... your problem is simple it can be solved.
Try to double click the sound icon on the right side bottom of the screen (if it appears) then locate the properties menu and select the option like room, hall etc.

The options varies depending on the manufacturer and the power of the speakers and the sound card ...

try something simply like goto sound option and change your Tone control...
