Why are women turned off by guys who aren't neat and tidy? I love a messy room :)

For me personally, I like being organized. Usually I'm so busy that it helps me to know where everything is, especialy when I'm living in a small place. When I'm organized, I know where things are (other than "in a pile on the floor", which isn't very helpful when you need to find something fast) and I can go places and get things done faster. When my room's a mess, I can't even be in it because the mess stresses me out and I can't relax.

Women generally keep a lengthy To Do list going in their heads. If the house is neat and they don't have to look to find stuff, then that's fewer things on the mental list that they need to do. Therefore, keeping things uncluttered makes women's lives (or mine, at least) easier.

And I shouldn't even have to say that food mess and pizza boxes and dirty dishes are just bad news. It's gross and unsanitary and dirty. But you asked about "clutter", not "filth", so I'm going to give you the benefit of the doubt and assume you can do your dishes and take out the trash. :)

everything has it's place. It's easier to find things when there labeled, in the place where it's "supposed to be" etc... It's impossible to find things when there a mess.

Another reason why we hate clutter... cause 99.9% of the time were the ones you have to clean it up!

Have you ever tried to walk through a pile of laundry in 4 inch heels?
Nuff said.

that's not true in my house....
i love having stuff everywhere...and my organization system usually consists of piles of things (and i truly do know where everything is in my "piles")
however my husband is a total neat freak...everything has a place and everything is in it's place...he has his magazines in a neat stack on the coffee table...if i put one of my magazines there he will move it...it's very bizarre to me
oh-and he is constantly throwing stuff away, including stuff i want or need....just to keep his life "streamlined"
