Gotta love the liberal mainstream news media!

Even Judy Feder, who ran in Virginia against Frank Wolf, sent campaign flyers to my house, saying how she would stand up against "anti-choice extremists". Since that includes me, she did not get my vote.

Democrats watch too much Jerry Springer. Anyway, to the issue, good question. I'm proud to be an "extremist."

I have never heard that comparison. And, if you discount the "liberal mainstream media" so much, why are you even paying attention to a word they say? I consider myself fairly moderate, and I am neither pro gun nor anti abortion. The media--all of the media--feels the need to categorize every person--there is no room in their definitions for someone who is against the death penalty and in favor of immigrant amnesty or a Democrat who is hawkish on war but pro life-. Why are you concerned about this at all?

I considered myself a moderate. Pro-choice, pro-gun, and favor tax cuts. You know the "liberal" media also calls a a person who is pro-choice, anti-gun a liberal? I watch MSNBC and never have I heard that word extremist being used.

It is how they approach the issues.

Democrats who support the right to bear arms support it with strict regulation. They are pro-life but support abortion in extreme circumstances of rape, incest and mother's health.

Republicans who are labeled extremists ( not all are) have the views that "Murder is murder no exceptions" and that each person should be able to carry an unregistered sidearm.

Your question really answers itself. One group supports a give and take balance to each issue, the other is all or nothing.

Please remember those who do not associate with either party is often called a moderate.

It is misscontruded that moderates do not have a stand on issues. They do have stands on the issues. In this case they are both pro-choice and pro-gun thus the Democrats lean to the "moderates"....40% of the population.

Every single republican in America is pro-gun!! And most are pro-life, that's just common, who calls that extremist?? I never heard that! It's the pro-war set we call extremist!

Kinda one-sided, this arguement, yes? A pro-choice, anti-firearm Democrat is considered just as extremist, so the Repubs aren't the only victims.

Um...because context influences everything, including politics? Not rocket science. How tired I am of the mainstream media being characterized as liberal. It's not liberal or conservative - just incompetent!

No. professional-gun doesn't recommend we flow round killing people, purely that we've the right to look after ourselves even as the time comes, and we've the right to existence. it isn't somebody else's determination no matter if we make it to make sure the gentle of day, because, frankly, they made their determination even as they did the deed that were given them pregnant. No it isn't a contradiction.
