Few tips if you're using the transfer sheets:
Iron the t-shirt first to ensure a nice flat surface.
Flip the image prior to printing, should be setting on the graphics application you're using or on your ink-jet printer driver.
On a lot of ink jet printers there's a media setting for printing on t-shirts.
If the image that your printing is smaller than the A4 transfer sheet, print a B/W copy of the image your going to print on the tshirt, cut around the image(leaving about an inch margin) to give you a hole shaped like the image(only bigger), lay this on the surface of the t-shirt and the printed transfer sheet on top of that, this catches all the white(non-printed) bits on the transfer sheet that would otherwise make the transfer look naff.
Finally remember the heat of the iron makes the transfer stick so press hard on the iron and pull transfer sheet carefully as you do, if the paper sticks, apply iron again and pull. I've used the sheets on cheep socks to print friends fave football team's logo's on, looks good and makes a great gift!

You can get transfer paper from stationers such as partners or WH Smiths for printing onto fabrics. You print what you want to transfer off your computer onto the transfer paper and then iron it onto your t-shirts. I don't know how good it is, I bought it to use but never got around to it.

transfer paper or iron on paper if ironing make sure you flip it or make the image or writing a mirror image so it prints out backwards so when you place it on the shirt to iron it will look correct.
