i give it to people whos questions are fun to answer... and are appropriate. i give the answers to answers that are funny and appropriate... what about you?

I give thumps up to people who ask questions that are fun to answer and also to people who get trashed by the religious right for just asking a simple question

When I answer a question I give a thumbs up if I feel the question was worth it (and obviously it was if I took the time to answer it!) and questions/answers that make me laugh, ones I agree with, and ones that gave really good answers. All this happens when I'm stuck at work forever. When I don't have a lot of time, I try to still gives thumbs up when I can.â¥

I'm the same way.. whatever is fun and appropriate.. i always give thumps up to questions that people ask that I wonder the same thing too.

silly answers, foolish answers, serious answers, hell for everything. mostly for points, to help someone along the way it's so cool to see another participant near a level and I grant a thumbs up for best answer and they get to their level.
