Write your will first. Than tell him the "news". When he chokes you, pretend you're dead. He will feel a pang of regret. And that's when you make a break for it.
TELL HIM OVER THE PHONE! DUH!!! Oh, and make sure you're far away.

Pick a fight... there has to be something that the two of you don't agree on... in the midst of the arguement... tell him you've had enough and you need some apace... in a way this will ease his pain because to him it won't seem like the break up was just all for no reason... especially if the real reason you want to break up is something you don't want to tell him because it might hurt him... this worked for me once... kept the break up from being this big ordeal... hope this helps

Just be honest with him, and don't put it off! If you don't feel the same, be done with it. There is no sense in staying together, for either of you, if you have different feelings or are not happy!

Hey, use the line "We have to talk.." and be serious. He will know you mean business. And just say what you have to - be direct and to the point. DONT sugar coat it. If you both are adult and responsible enough to be in a relationship then you both can stand the consequences and responsibilities. Do it now - dont delay!
