Molarity is simple. The formula is Moles of Solute divided by Liters of solution.

The solute is the smaller amount, if you get confused with the solute and solvent. Many times the solvent is water.

the molarity of a solution, is the defined as the moles of the solute per liter of solution

for instance, if I put 1 mole of salt into a 1 liter flask and filled it to the line with water, I would have 1 mole of salt in one liter of solution and the molarity would be "1"

If I started with 2 moles of salt, then the solution would have molarity equal to "2".

If you have the mass (example grams) of the solute then you need to use the MW to convert the amount from mass to moles or vice versa.

good luck
