Within the confines of marriage, sure.
And I say this not to be religious or conservative. I say this due to the direct result of sex outside of marriage. 5 out of every 1000 women WHO ARE STERILIZED will still get pregnant. Even more with just a condom. How many single mothers are there in the world because of the sexual revolution? How much harder is the world because of these one parent families?
Aside from that I totally 100% agree that a husband/wife should be encouraged to experiment.

Isn't it already?
What exactly are we talking? Animals? Vegetables? Multiples?Kids? Equipment?
I think this country is a weird mix, very repressed about nudity and the realities of sex that unite us all as humans, and at the same time, perverted, violent and disgusting, making it vulgar and mean.
No time in our history has sex been so easy to come by. Even nice girls get knocked up outside of marriage. Nice boys experiment with gayity. Virginity is ignored.
But there are also pedophiles, victims, rapists, fetishists, and sex addicts in staggering numbers.
I don't see it as liberal or conservative. I know fine "christian" people who are living in "sin" and atheists who are celibate. Liberal generally implies "anything goes, but I am fairly liberal politically, not a homophobe, for instance, but I hate that unmarried girls are raising a whole generation of bastard babies. I think the babies will suffer emotional harm, not having a stable family life, with a daddy and mother, and all the extended families.
Conservatives usually like things to stay the way they are. Or the way they used to be. Some things are good as they were, but most are not.
What particulaarly are you talking about?

within a consentin grelationship it has no longer anything to do with society. Behind closed doors is just that. If it is in a way others may be hurt then a different matter.

You must be behind the times because sexual experimentation is everywhere.

It depends on the 'experimentation', does it not? Like it or not (in the UK), we are not too keen with the 'halfway' approach...we indeed are either 'sneerers' or 'smilers'...the former usually out of envy, and the latter out of embarrasment!

i think it should be obligatory. Like sexual National Service. Everyone spends 2-3 years banging everything and everyone without fear of reprisal. Oh wait, isn't that uni?

Of course. If you don't try new things, how will you learn? And I think it is important to learn about sex well before marriage.
Practice makes perfect (and it helps that it is fun, too).
Of course, be careful and take proper precautions and accept proper responsibility.

I think that if you are in a relationship and don't experiment then you are either very dull or you are very prudish indeed.

I would think the prevalence of STD's would be enough to convince anyone.
