my wife says she Isnt in love with me anymore and has moved back to the u.s,we had been working towards getting her bhs teaching certificates in england so that we could set up a well paid business back in the states,we scrimped and saved for the exam fees and didnt really do much except work our tails off to make this happen and now she has passed the exams, she moved back there with our dog and i was going to support her from the u.k until she had gotten over the stress of her exams and the holiday season was over and she had settled in and gotten a decent paying job with her hard won certificates, then i was going to sell up here and move over there after going througfh all the red tape regarding visas etc,she has been gone 4 weeks and the last two of those she has been adamant that she isnt in love with me anymore and that its over between us.at the moment she has a low paid part time job in a bookstore and wants me to support her until she gets the decent job, then im out of her life

I'm sorry to hear you're beeing used like this. You shouldn't let it happen anymore. Tell her you only support your loved once and since she's chosen not to be one anymore she no longer gets your money and support.

No, that isn't fair or very kind. She is being very selfish expecting you to support her after you helped her so much. I'm sorry this is happening to you but, you have to decide if you want to help her or not. Until she takes legal action, the choice is yours. Be grateful you don't have any children caught up in such a mess (I am assuming).
You can't make her love you again and you can't change her. You can only make decisions for yourself and I hope you decide to move on and live well. Who knows what the future holds for you?

It doesn't sound fair at all it appears she was using you to get what she needed then left high and dry if anything you should be asking for compensation from her. She has done nothing but screwed you over I hope she sees what she has done and realizes she is being completely unfair and irresponsible towards her vows to you and the relationship this would just infuriate me I'm all for helping out a spouse get training and anything else to help out in the marriage in the long run but what she has done is
just wrong. God Bless and Good Luck in whatever happens.

Well unfortunately these things happen. she does not love you any more, well that is her choice. But your choice should be that she left, so you pay her no money and she now has to support herself. It is not your responsibility to ensure that she is ok.
Tell her this and tell her to leave you alone. Good luck

Sorry fella...but she used you to get her certificate. You are under no obligation to support her since she left you. If you choose to do so, you are a fool.

no, my husband and I have talked about this (talking about other couples)... we think that if a woman CHOOSES to leave without good reason, like being abused, but just cuz she is "done" then she should support herself. As long as she CHOOSES to be with a guy then he should support her... just my opinion but it sounds like if she left, she should have been ready to.

I wouldn't help her any more. You helped her enough. If she wants a fresh start then let her earn it on her own.
