About 3 days. That's why the morning after pill is only effective for 72 hours, because it stops the fertilised egg getting implanted in the womb.

When its being ferterlise at your fallopian tube, its take about 3 days to fully develop from a zygote to a foetus. So by day 3 -4, the foetus should be already attached to the placenta for nutrients from the mother as the food in the egg is not sufficient for more.

If the egg isn't fertilized within 12 hours of being released, the egg dies, the follicle dries up, the lining of the uterus is shed, and a menstrual period occurs!! The fastest one will take 45 minutes while the slowest is 12 hours!! :)

Usually 7-10 days.

But there have been cases of 4 days and also of 12 days.

So anywhere between 4-12 days is possible.
