Men know that women are already uncomfortable in pregnancy and they don't want to make it worse. That is a nice guy and don't take it personally! Take care of your man in other ways and talk about it with him. Believe it or not there are nice guys out there that do understand that OK, my girl is carrying my baby and it is uncomfortable and I can take care of things myself for a while. You should just love him more for that!!! Most men don't take our feelings into consideration (you are LUCKY)! Good luck with the Baby!

God Yes! At least in my case: and of course everyone will be different. It was actually kind of flattering in a way... you're thinking I'm huge, ugly, I have these stretch marks and he's never gonna find me sexy again. Boy, was I wrong! He loves my big ol belly and even more: what's inside! Although after about 5/6 months sex is uncomfortable (but there are ways around it...)You can have sex up until your water breaks! Let me tell you I'm 37 weeks... and we just now stopped. But up until last week, we were still goin at it! Have fun while you can! You're not going to hurt the baby... I've actually read a study where it says some babies enjoys the rocking... good to know I guess!

My husband avoided me the minute I started to show. He says it wasn't just fears about hurting the baby. For him, it was hard to look at me and think dirty thoughts (haha) because, as he put it, "you're on a higher level of womanhood.... one where it would be disrespectful and somehow wrong to do 'dirty' things with you."
I thought it was a really dumb reason, but he was sincere so at least my feelings were spared. And he got his sex drive back in abundance as soon as the baby came so it all worked out in the end.

During our second pregnancy I noticed that my boyfriend didn't want to have sex as often as we used to and I asked him about it. He said it seemd weird and he told me not to take it the wrong way but it grossed him out. It wasn't the way I looked, but just the fact that there was a little person in there and it was weird...I was pissed and hurt and emotional (as anyone is during ppregnancy). I told him he was the one that made me this way, how can he think it's gross. So even when he NEEDED to have sex (cuz men can only go for so long) I told him I didn't feel like having sex with someone that thought I was disgusting, it made him feel horrible. I held out for months without giving him any. He learned his lesson. He appologized and I still didn't want to sleep with him, but I did. I think he still thought it was gross but he made me feel better about it after he knew how badly he hurt me by saying that. So next time you guys are relaxing just say, "hey i noticed you weren't into having sex as much lately...is it the way i look?" or, "it seems like you've lost interest in me, is something wrong?" make him feel comfortable enough to tell you the truth.

most men are afraid of hurting you or the baby. Sex during pregnancy is fine and normal, actually right up until the end as long as there is no pain or discomfort for you. Talk to him about it and if he still has concerns make him come to your next appointment and ask the doctor if it's OK and he/she will ease his mind about it.

not all men do my dude thought i was beautiful when i was pregnet. but he did express the feeling to me that he thought he'd hurt her somehow i explaned to him why he couldn't and he was fine with that. And actually you are allowed to have sex it the 3rd trimester in fact its encouraged it helps you go into labor the sperm has some sort of protien in that helps it along but talk to him seems like a good idea (don't let him avoid it either)
