I think Native Americans are sooo nice! I knew several full-blooded NA's from the Menominee tribe. Very friendly folks. I think everyone believes NA's are still one with nature, even today. I watched a lot of the Native American Grammy's (Nammy's?), and thought it was cool how the music ranged from folk music, pop, a reggaeton sound, and even almost hip-hop. I also liked how their dress, onstage, was from native attire to waaay more up-to-date than what I wear. I thought it proved that NA's don't just wear leather & feathers and play drums. I think everyone feels guilty about the land that was taken away from people who initially welcomed the new visitors. I have Shawnee blood in me from the Algonquian tribe.

I think the government should be ashamed and appalled about the way that they treated, and continue to treat, the native americans. They still haven't resolved that whole scandal at BIA with the trust fund dollars disappearing (look it up).

They've had a very rough deal. The expansion of settlers across the US resulted in genocide, broken treaties, exploitation and so on. It is a great tribute to the people of these tribes that they have endured and retained a distinct culture.I would feel proud to have such folk as part of my heritage.

I love them, very nice people. Very humble. If you have a Native American as a friend, you have found a friend indeed. They are very trustworthy and commited people. I like them alot.

I think most people when they think of native americans are in awe. They respect them. They have guilt. I have Cherokee blood in my veins.

i think we are really good people, we get free stuff to so thats a pluse but people think that we carry around feathers and rocks and junk, and that we all hate the white man for taking our land, i dont infact without the money that white people make america wouldnt be as much a success as we are now(despite the war and every other country hating us) but we are good people!!!

My first name is American Indian...I was named for an Indian girl my great uncle knew years ago...when he worked as a cattle rancher out west. We were raised to respect the Indians. They were the first ones here...nto us. We took their land, herded them into the equivalent of prison camps, and tried to destroy their way of life through forced acclimation to white culture and religions. Wee herded them up. We massacred them at Wounded Knee. Read the book...I left my heart at Wounded Knee. Then watch the movie series "Into the West". The American Indians deserve our utmost respect and generosity as it is the white European who destroyed their world selfishly.

I think that what happened to them was VERY VERY sad....I think that they were put in a situation too where they kind of hit rock bottom and everything was taken away...
