i'm shopping for a winter jacket, and wondering if the filling will affect the warmth (or if it's harder to wash one than the other). Also, i hate it when jackets have those feathers that poke out of the inside, so if you have any advice on how to avoid those, yay :)

get primaloft if you can find it. down jackets are great until the down settles. if you wash the jacket it becomes almost useless and if it gets wet ... you will freeze to death.
