Are you sure you mean, "CAN" take a joke? I find that more can't than can. They take themselves too seriously. Life is short, we will not get out of it alive. Love God, laugh and be happy.

Humor is pain. Like a hot pepper makes your food taste better, a little pain can bring joy to your heart. Sometimes, you direct the humor toward something sensitive and get the wrong response- like sticking a jalepeno in someone's eye. Still other times, we can laugh at something now, but feel bad about it later- like eating a spicy chilli dog and then trying to survive the afternoon commute without ruining your car's uppholstry.
Still, some people just don't like spicy food. Other people have no sense of humor. There's no accounting for taste, I suppose.
