Get a babysitter for a night. Cook his favorite meal of all time and have it ready for him when he gets home, serve it by candelight. If you like champagne or wine, maybe you can serve that also. If you still have your "toasting flutes" from your wedding, use those too! Dress up in something sexy and have an amazing time just enjoying each other. My husband would be completely thrilled with a night like this.

When I was a stay at home mom I made sure he had his coffee and breakfast made every day, run his shower water for him so it would be warm when he got up, lay out his work clothes for him while he was in the shower, either a lunch packed or bring him lunch while he was at work, make sure dinner was ready within 1/2 hour of him getting home, and give him a full body massage. This was on a DAILY basis, not to mention the regular household chores. My husband worked so hard and it took a lot out of him. the least I could do is make it a little easier on him. When you make the extra effort to pamper the crud out of them they know that you love them and appreciate their sacrifice, and it costs no more than what you normally spend.

You really have an ideal situation. A man that is willing to put in the effort for a housewife raising their kids. Excellent.

To be frank, sex means a lot to a guy. And probably 90+ percent of them love their woman going down on them if you know what I mean. Make that a regular part of your love life and he will sprinkle rose petals before you, so to speak.

Also, just taking care of the kids and house means a lot to him. Let him know how much you appreciate his hard work.

wow... ... just wow... you sound like a wonderful person.
Just being thankful and happy with what you have would make him pretty darn happy I think. In my case, whenever my wife keeps acting like we don't have enough "stuff" or acts or tells me she's unhappy with how much I make, that pretty much makes me not want to work anymore, and it depresses me. It makes me think: "Here I am trying to keep our little boat afloat, and she's pissed that we're not in a 50 ft yacht".
Just show him that you're using the finances he provides in a wise way, and that would swell him with pride too. A little lovemaking won't hurt either (I've made rather graphic suggestions in the past, but I won't this time... you get the picture. Do what he likes). AND here's a big one: Don't do what other women tell you to do. 90% of women are clueless about a man's true needs. Ask him what things would make him happy and do those things. It's more important for you to do the right things than to surprise him (with the wrong things).
Oh, and they do say that the way to a man's heart is through his stomach.
And DON'T GET HIM FLOWERS... (trust me, that's the stupidest thing I've heard of (a bouquet for a guy)... 99.99% of men don't give a crap about flowers)

#1 Get someone to take the kids for a night.

#2 Make a nice dinner

#3 Tell him, over dinner, how much you appreciate him and everything he does for you and his family.

#4 After dinner, give him a massage (go all out...oils and lotions)

#5 Take him by the hand and lead him into the bedroom.

#6 Spend the rest of the night proving #3 to him!!

I did this for my husband and he loved it! We've had a lot of fun with it as well.

I made him a coupon book with things in there that are free and give of myself. Focus on things that are important to him. For example, with my husband, things like, "watching an evening of anime on tv without any interruptions or complaints", or a "night out with the guys", "I will cook all meals for a week (he does all the cooking in our house)", or "good for one week of yard work"

Be creative! Only you know what he would like, most times it's the simple things. When he redeems a coupon, let him redeem it, it means it's something he really wants at that point in time.

The best part is, it's usually free things he'll appreciate the most!

Be creative with things around the house. Make him a home video, cut fresh flowers and make him a bouquet, Write him a special love letter, or give him a night of pampering by that I mean like act as if you worked in a spa and he was your client. Give him a massage and make him a special bath have candles everywhere make him feel really relaxed.

This is so sweet! My husband told me once that he knew I loved him because I would wear his favorite perfume, wear a green t-shirt (his fav color) and because Id let him have control over the remote control. So by this I got.. it doesnt take much but the very littlest of things to make a man realize his sig other really loves him> Hope this helps!

Wow! What a nice, romantic thing to say about your hubby.

Well, with the resources you have prepare his favorite meal, rent a DVD or video you both have wanted to see, get someone to watch the kids for the night, and just relax. Tell him and show him your feelings.

Sounds like heaven to me.
