Currently, my desktop PC, when in standby mode, can only be woken up by hitting the computer's power button. Is there a way to configure the computer to wake up out of standby by just pushing one keyboard button or by clicking the mouse?

Thanks.

i suggest you just restart it. when it goes into that standby mode it really hate to come out of it. even after it does it still runs awfully slow.

go to the control panel and click on power management and set it to turn off instead of going into standby mode.

i do not understand for constructive about stand-through mode, yet i will turn on my pc through urgent a chain of keys at living house. I enabled this through my motherboard BIOS. you may attempt it and note if it is going to artwork for stand through mode a similar as for a cold power-up. To get to my BIOS I hit the delete key even as my pc is booting up. it is diverse for each motherboard, so yours will be the delete key or it would nicely be yet another alongside with F1 or F2 (those are the three maximum without delay ahead.) i'd try it myself, yet i'm not at living house now.

Try Esc on your keyboard or the standby icon. I always use the Esc.
Hope this works for you.
