No,it is not a stupid thing to collect...especially if you like to read the books you are marking. I MAKE bookmarks,so how stupid is THAT? lol

I agree with the rest, whatever you collect isn't stupid. Everyone has a right to what ever they choose that makes them happy. I collect teapots. I don't have any bookmarks to offer, but have you tried looking at thrift stores or consignment shops; there are also stores that sell second hand books, they may have what you collect and maybe your local library has suggestions. i collected bookmarks when i was a kid...too bad i threw them all out, or i could have passed my collection on to you!...oh, well...have fun with your hobby
