I don't see this as unusual.

Are you american? The correct term for this area of the body is ARSECRACK- butt means something completely different.

Im not a lawyer and I don't know what state you are, laws prolly very per state. But I would yes take pictures. And say that no you do not have to allow him to take your son. I would offer to let him come see him at your house. I know in Illinois, b/c that's where I live and lots of personal experiences, if you are not married when the baby was born the father has no rights as far as visitation until you go to court. When you do go to court tell your lawyer to ask the judge that their be a decided "safe place" where your baby's daddy can have his visitation with his child if he is so granted. Perhaps a grandparents house or whatever you work out. Good luck!!

Mine has it as well, v-shaped just for an inch at the top. Doc checked her spine and it was fine, make sure your doc does the same. She is almost 1 now and it has posed no concern. May be a blessing, If it keeps her from wearing hipsters that show off her butt in 15 years then I am all for it!

Babies have all kinds of creases, as you no doubt know. This is perfectly normal and nothing to worry about. Mine all did too. The creases will smooth out in time as he fills out with some fat and you will have little baby rolls to snuggle.

Hi, ask your health visitor or Doctor to check your baby's hips. My youngest child had an extra crease on one side and it turned out to be a clicky hip, good luck.

when my 2 year old was first born she had a little extra crack at the top of hers. like when she got older she wouldn't be able to wear a thong. but she's kinda out grown it and it looks almost normal now. I just had to be careful and wipe there too when changing the diapers...cause yeah, poop got there too. but it didn't have a hole there, just an extra little crack. i thought it was strange.

My friend had that as an adult! It's odd but not life threatening. My daughter did to a degree when she was a newborn, but all her little wrinkles ironed out!

i wouldn't be concerned. everybody has something "abnormal" about them. in fact, many people would probably love to trade abnormalities with your baby. just be happy that he/she is healthy, and make sure he/she gets good formula (don't water it down- that's how babies get rickets and other vitamin/mineral deficiency associated problems!), has a clean bottom, and doesn't put anything in his/her mouth that they shouldn't. that said, congrats.
