All right, who else is tired of the "pop music" genre? Seriously, if the women only shake their rumps and mammaries just to get the attention of millions of guys in the world that know they can't have that particular woman, why do they think that it would be a good idea for kids to listen to it? "Pop music", rap and hiphop are mostly the reason of the giant boost of population: because of the women they present on TV dressed very scantily pointlessly... If you listened to heavy metal, you would know why I hate mainstream music.

Of course us heavy metal, rock, punk, and every other classification of "Hardcore" music listeners agree with you. So I'm not sure exactly what your question is supposed to be asking. "Pop stars"do it because its easy, and that's the only way they'll ever make it big. Kids see the attention that ti*s and A** brings you, and they stick with it.Therefore it hasn't died yet.
Ask most of those "Stars" to sit down to an interment(not just guitar and drums, but piano, violin, etc) and there Fu**ed.Theres all ways going to be controversies in any type of music. "Hardcore" for example. You'll have one person say "Yeah I like Rock, but only the old stuff. This new stuff you cant understand...."Then not be able to give you any names to the old bands they like so much. Theres all ways going to be something to rage against, that's how rock started in the first place."Pop wont go away that easily, you wanna do some thing about it. Pick up a mike, sticks, or guitar and Rock.

You're right, The Beach Boys, The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath etc never degraded women. And every metal band sings about daises and puppies and good things like that!
I don't think that it's a "good" thing that most rap artists do degrade women, but you can't say it's JUST rap artists who do that. Because guess what, most classic rock bands do, most metal bands do, most blues artists do, just about any genre does. Again I am not condoning it. I'm just saying that if you're going to say that [insert genre here] only sings about "cash, money and hoes" or [insert controversial subject here] then you're making yourself seem pretty uneducated. Because most likely some other genre is doing it too.

it's all about emotion. music will correspond to what kind of rhythm each person has. but seriously it can't be that bad. girls that like hip hop and pop dress more hoey. i've seen more skin on a football than on a goth girl.
