I was gonna say Friday the 13th without about 10 movies, but James Bond should be the longest series.

James Bond got quite a head-start. I think you'll be hard pressed to find another movie with as many sequels, given how long it takes to go from storyboard to screen.
21 official James Bond movies - it'd take a lot of catching up for movie series like Police Academy, Star Trek, Scary movie or I (fill-in-the-blank) know what you did last summer.

Nightmare on Elm Street. Millions of sequels, Freddy's Nightmares, a rap, a movie collaboration with Jason Voorhies. Madness.

The Land Before Time.
The first one was cute, the second one was okay, but everything after that was just stupid.
I think there are like 10 sequels or something.

Actually, the most portrayed character on film is Sherlock Holmes. There's well over 100 films.
