i have a 7 year old and she's totally into bratz. i got her a bratz winter coat and will probably get a bunch of bratz crap. My 11 year old likes them too, but not as much as the 7 year old. Even my 5 year old boy likes them...yikes!

The craft stores like JoAnn and Michaels have craft kits that girls that age enjoy. And it makes them feel good to have made something they can be proud of.
My friends daughter that is 8 loves snowglobes and collects them.
And they still make Easy Bake Ovens, those are always a big hit and if you use it with them it's something they will always remember when they are older.
Charm bracelets are back in fashion and you could always add a new charm each year. or for their birthday, etc.

I have a 6 yr old daughter and for her wishlist she wants: from Costco-make up for little girls, Bratz jewelry case, mermaid doll, and an ukulele. She loves clothes and jewelry. She admires the Cheetah Girlz and the way they dress. In one of the dpt strores, she saw their clothes line. For jewelry, she wants different colors of jade bracelets and a Hawaiian Gold bracelet. Girls are also into dress ups and could never get enough of purses or handbags....Ask them to make a wish list.

My daughter is 8 and she loved Tales of the 4th grade nothing. She's also into horses and reads the Saddle Club book series. The same author who wrote the Babysitters club books (which I loved when I was younger) just came out with a new series called Main Street, which would be another good idea. Good luck!

my daughter is 8 and she is in love with all things Littlest Pet Shop, they are little bobble head animals...super cute and relatively cheap, so if money is not an issue you could get a whole playset for them, and if it is a few animals with accessories for under 20 bucks.
