What is it that makes a person considered popular? Should we envy them? Why or why not? How do the pressures to fit in effect you? If you are popular, what is it you gain? Do you loose anything by not being popular? Please give diligent detailed answers if possible, this is for a project at school and I really need others views to include, and since I'm shy this is the easiest way for me to ask. If you could, give me gender and age, but you dont have to if you dont want. I may include some of these views in my research project, so if you just want to give me insight, but dont want me to use thats fine too. Thank you so much!

Popularity is something that many people go searching after becuase they think it will make their lives better. What they don't realize is that popularity is a completely bogus idea. CONTENTMENT and CONFIDENCE are far more worthy goals. If I could do high school over again, I'd focus on making a few good friends and enjoying myself. I'd be unafraid of what everyone else thought.

Someone considered popular is someone who has a lot of friends and everyone knows them especially the opposite sex.You shouldn't envy them but most people do because they make it seem like its the best way to live.The pressure to fit in effects me not that much but sometimes.You lose nothing if your not popular all it is, is more drama.

Hate to tell you this; but it doesn't get better. All those jerks who your going to high school with are going to go to univ. or college too. And they will keep on trying to be popular, and giggle in the backs of seminars, and wot not. And, btw, only bad guys date popular girls, because we all know popular girls have heads filled with straw. The best ones are waiting for that perfectly smart, shy, funny girl! (believe me, I know from experience) - 3rd yr college student.

i don't need to be socially accepted to be happy.
if you think i'm a looser.
than i think you probably touch yourself at night.
being popular in my oppinion is very over reted
just be yourself that's the coolest thin you can do
