I've watched Days on and off since I was two but lately I haven't been watching and I tuned into today and Kayla was talking to Patch about him getting his memory back. Does he really have it back or is he faking it? Thanks!

At first he was faking it. He knew that he needed to give her something to live for, so he had Hope and Bo write down some memories and he told those things to Kayla, and it miraculously worked. He told her that he remembered their life together, but he did not really. Then when Benji came to see him, it started to bring back memories. So now he is remembering. Up until Benji showed up, he only had limited memories of holding Stephanie.

He started having memories of Stephanie as a baby, and then he remembered Benjy.. since then he has started getting a few memories back but not all of them. He doesn't remember the deep emotional connection that he & Kayla shared.

He is faking. Bo & Hope wrote down some things for him to tell Kayla when she was in her coma, so she would wake up.
